Nikon!D8103P

Nikon D810

A massive 36 million pixel full frame DSLR with amazing low light performance and colour rendition, coupled with the superb autofocus derived from the sports cameras, these are the perfect balance between picture quality and speed.
We use a fleet of these as our main workhorse camera bodies.
The original files need no editing to be supplied to magazines all over the world for publication. (How times have changed since we started with digital in the late 90’s!

400mm f2.8 VR

They are pin sharp, fast and long.
We have used the 500, 600 and 800mm in the past, but always revert back to the 400’s as our “go to” long lenses.
For us, the 400’s are the perfect balance between focal length, clarity and portability. Coupled with the 1.4 and 1.7 convertors, they give us a multitude of options for composition when we are trackside.
We actually prefer this slightly older model than the new lighter offerings because they are balanced much better for panning with slower shutter speeds.

400mm f2.8 VR

200mm f2 VR

200mm f2 VR

The sharpest lens we have ever used. Amazing clarity, fast focus and beautiful bokeh that separates the subject from the background.
A truly specialist lens that is a joy to shoot with.
The pictures taken with this lens stand out from the crowd.

70-200mm f2.8 VR11

Great for the Land Rover shows and MX racing where it keeps the shutter speed high to freeze the action, and the wide aperture separates the object from the muddy background.
A really useful focal length that allows a number of photographic options from the scene in front of us.

70-200mm f2.8 VR11

Fisheye 16mm f2.8

Fisheye 16mm f2.8

Grabs a whole scene into one picture with a dramatic fisheye effect. Used sparingly for a gallery picture that adds interest to a body of work.

14-24mm f2.8

Ultra-wide full frame zoom used for dragging an entire scene onto the sensor. A lovely lens that provides images with impact to show the subjects in their environment.

14-24mm f2.8

24-70 f2.8

24-70 f2.8

The “go to” allrounder for professionals all over the world. We use this in the pit and paddock with great effect, but it has secured a place trackside bringing a selection of scenic shots to the finished folders.

50mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.8

Small but powerful little lenses. The wide apertures have excellent light sucking capabilities and also create a unique feel to the pictures.

50mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.8

24-120mm f4 VR

24-120mm f4 VR

A versatile lens that is great for tracking the vehicles at the Land Rover shows, but it is just as at home down on pit lane picking out details or shooting the vista.

18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

A surprisingly sharp lens for a DX crop lens which punches well above it's price point. This lens is used exclusively on the Billing Off Road Show where there are a couple of obstacles that the focal length covers perfectly from the start of the vehicle run, right through to the exit.

18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

1.4, 1.7 & 2x Teleconverters

1.4, 1.7 & 2x Teleconverters

Used with the 200mm F2 & the 400 F2.8 to gain a little more reach and get the perfect composition straight out of the camera. The converters are designed specifically for the fast prime lenses and work extremely well with them because of the huge maximum aperture and native high picture quality.
